Love Island fans are in mourning today as series one and two of the hit reality show have been removed from Netflix. Yep, the days are gone of binging old series to get you hyped for the new one.

Yesterday, Netflix removed series one and two of Love Island from its streaming service - that's 66 episodes of OG Love Island which fans are being deprived of.

Yep, fans can no long watch love blossom between Playboy Bunny Hannah and Essex boy Jon in series one, nor will they be able to witness Terry pie Malin, or Daniel Lukakis painfully attempt to seduce women (remember that guy?) in series two.

And it's safe to say people have some feelings about it...

One user fumed: "I've got 16 episodes of season 2 of Love Island [sic] left to watch and they've taken it off both netflix AND itv hub what the f**k am i supposed to do now."

"Bang out of order from Netflix taking Love Island off later this month," another vented.

To be fair, Love Island season one and two was put on Netlix on 1st May 2018, meaning it was probably taken down as Netflix only bought a year's rights. C'mon guys you had a friggin' year!

But fear not, it's not long until we can feast on a brand spanking new series as it was confirmed that Love Island started filming series five at the end of last month.

Show host Caroline Flack confirmed the news on her Instagram, writing: "What's really exciting about this week is that we start filming for Love Island 2019 and by the end of the week I am going to have potentially seen the cast for this year."

She continued: "That is really exciting and mad that it's come around this quick, so I'll let you know what happens. It's going to be a long, hot summer and all that."

If the previous series are anything to go by, the fifth season should return to our screens during the first week of June, but there has been no official confirmation.

For those that are hoping to go one step further than watching Love Island and actually be on the series, you still have ample time to apply.

Last week, ITV exclusively told Pretty 52 that application is, in fact, open until July 15th, contrary to reports it closed at the end of April.

But you'll be up against it: by the time series four had come to an end, there had already been a whopping 25,000 applications for season five.

Although none of the contestants have been confirmed just yet, it has previously been teased that they will come in "all shapes and sizes," which is good news all round.

Buzzing.
