'Love Actually' And 'The Holiday' Just Got Added To Netflix

Netflix has added Love Actually and The Holiday to their streaming service just in time for us to snuggle up on the sofa with a box of chocolates and binge watch all our favourite festive films.

It isn't Christmas until you've watched Jude Law fall in love with Cameron Diaz or Hugh Grant knock on every door on the street to find Martine McCutcheon.

Although they may be in your all time favourite festive films let's be honest you probably lost the DVD years ago and now just wait for it to appear in the festive TV guide.

But now Netflix has announced they are giving you the option to watch them both whenever you want and however many times you want.

In case you're reading this and have no idea what The Holiday or Love Actually are about then here is a quick synopsis of each.

The Holiday (aka the most romantic Christmas film ever) is about two women who have had it with men and decide to swap homes with each other.

Iris (Kate Winslet) lives in a picturesque cottage in the English countryside, whereas Amanda (Cameron Diaz) lives in a pretty swanky mansion in Hollywood.

Amanda soon meets Iris' brother Graham (Jude Law) and Iris meets Miles, Amanda's friend and you can probably guess how the rest of the film goes.

It is definitely one that will warm your heart and will also make you wish that every cottage you've ever rented came with its own Jude Law.

Love Actually sounds a little bit more complicated than it actually is. The film is made up of nine intertwined stories that all have one thing in common- love.

A couple of the story lines include newly elected Prime Minister David (Hugh Grant) falls for his young junior staffer Natalie (Martine McCutcheon) and Sarah (Laura Linney), a graphic designer whose devotion to her mentally ill brother complicates her love life.

However how can we forget Harry (Alan Rickman), a married man tempted by his attractive new secretary to cheat on his wife Karen (Emma Thompson), we still an't bring ourselves to forgive him.

There is plenty more Hollywood royalty in the film with Colin Firth, Liam Neeson and Keira Knightley appearing in their own story lines.

Whether you're new to the films or they're your firm festive favourites Netflix has definitely got your festive viewing planned out for you.
