Jodie Comer Teases A Huge Twist For ‘Killing Eve’ Season Two
Warning: Spoiler alert.
Jodie Comer, who stars as Villanelle in the BBC smash hit Killing Eve, has teased a big twist when the series returns next year.
Speaking at the Golden Globes, Comer, 25, hinted that the assassin's reaction to being stabbed in the final episode might not be what we'd expect.
"The story picks up right from where we left off," Comer told ELLE. "Obviously Eve stabbed Villanelle, let's not forget that, but what's going to be really interesting for the audience is how Villanelle reacts to that. It may not be as they suspect it will be."
Sounds super interesting - and very, very exciting!
Comer also reflected on her character and her relationship with Golden Globe winner co-star Sandra Oh.
"She's never just straight-up upset about anything," she said, "she sees the world in a different way, so it would have a different impact on her I think."
"I think what happened in episode 8 brings them closer together in a way that neither of them expect," Comer added. "A lot of relationships were tested in series 1, so I think the dynamics have really shifted."
Meanwhile, BBC America recently released some first-look images for the second season, giving fans a glimpse of what will happen next in the fantastic spy drama.
Sandra Oh's character Eve is seen back on the hunt to crack the case of finding Villanelle and uncovering who is giving her orders.
And Villanelle can be seen swigging on a bottle of vodka as she recovers from her stab wound.
The most intriguing image, however, was captured by a photographer who spotted the actor Kim Bodnia (who played Villanelle's mentor Konstantin) chatting to Comer on the Season two set.
This is interesting, of course, because viewers were led to believed he'd been bumped off last season. So, is he really dead? Or will he return in a flashback?
All these questions and more will be answered when Killing Eve returns later this year.
