Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she's keen to film a Friends reunion - and believes the rest of the cast would too.

The actress, 50, who played Rachel Green in the sitcom which ran from 1994 to 2004, made the revelation that "anything could happen" when quizzed about a possible return on The Ellen Show, which airs on Wednesday.

Getting Friends fans' hopes up everywhere, she said: "Why not? You know what, because, listen, I told you this. I would do it."

The American star insisted that her former co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer - would also be up for a revival of the NBC series.

"The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I'm sure," Jennifer continued, who appears in the upcoming Netflix movie Murder Mystery. "Listen - anything could happen."

Previously, the Along Came Polly star said she still fantasizes about a reunion with her former co-stars on the successful sitcom.

Telling InStyle last year, she shared: ''Courteney and Lisa and I talk about it ... I fantasize about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don't know what it would look like today, but you never know."

The Horrible Bosses actress added that "so many shows are being successfully rebooted, " and that before Friends wrapped for the final time: "People were asking if we were coming back."

Despite Jennifer's enthusiasm for a reboot, Courteney, 54, admitted she was sceptical of a comeback based on the premise of the show.

Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: "People ask us all the time, 'Will we ever do a remake?' That was a story about these group of people that are friends in their 30s who are finding themselves.

"I don't know if there's a way to redo it. I just don't see it happening. Even though I would do anything to be in a room with all of those people acting and having a great time. But I don't see it happening."
