Holly Willoughby might be doing a fabulous job stepping in to cover Ant McPartlin during this series of I'm A Celebrity, but last night she broke a major rule while during the Bushtucker Trial.

The presenter shocked viewers during the Catch A Falling Star trial, which saw Nick Knowles and Noel Edmonds suspended above a lake in clear boxes while they retrieved stars from nasty bug-filled holes.

Nick and Noel gave their all to the trial, and while Noel was fairly successfully retrieving the stars, unfortunately Nick wasn't too good at catching them, missing six out of 11 stars, meaning they only won five meals for camp.

But it was after the trial was over that Holly got viewers talking when she kissed both the campmates for their valiant efforts during the trial.

It wasn't until afterwards that her co-host, Declan Donnelly, told her of her 'fraternising' with her campmates.

"Are you canoodling with the campmates?" he asked the This Morning host. "I don't think that's allowed."

She giggled and responded: "I think I did," before adding she thought a handshake but would be "a bit official."

But Dec wasn't convinced by this, adding: "Keep your distance Holly Willoughby, keep your distance."

Holly joked about having "broken a golden rule" though the pair did confirm this is not the way hosts usually behave during trials.

This comes after Dec revealed Ant McPartin is 'better' than his replacement, Holly, who stepped in while Ant continues his presenting hiatus.

The Geordie presenter admitted hebelieved Holly might let her squeamishness get in the way while observing celebs undergo the trials.

Before Noel and Nick's trial, the hosts discussed how 'nerve-wracking' it would be to watch, particularly without Ant.

Dec said: "It's nerve-wracking for us because it's just so chaotic."

Holly asked: "I mean, I'm in safe hands, you're going to lead the way?"

But, a shaken Dec responded: "Normally Ant leads the way...

"No it will be alright, I think we've kind of been through it and we know what we're doing."

I'm A Celebrity continues on ITV at 9pm tonight.
