Veronica Mars fans better clear their 2019 schedule because the American teen mystery is back and we're not just talking about reruns.

Kristen Bell is coming back to star in a brand new series made up of eight hour-long episodes that will all be available to stream on Hula during summer 2019.

Not only that, all three series of Veronica Mars, as well as the 2014 film, will all be available for Hula subscription holders.

Kirsten confirmed the news just weeks after Entertainment Weekly reported that a deal was being made between showrunner Rob Thomas, Warner Bros. and streaming giant, Hula.

While Kirsten is bound to be super busy reprising her role as Veronica, the revival is not expected to interfere with her other programme, The Good Place, so viewers can relax knowing that the NBC series will return in the US on 27th September.

Streaming giant Hula has revealed the brand new series will return to the fictional town of Neptune in California where a string of murders on spring breakers has had a drastic effect on tourism in the area.

One of the victims' parents enlists the help of Mars Investigations to find out who killed their son, and Veronica steps in to discover a rivalry between the wealthy residents of the town and those working class who rely on tourist traffic to get by.

So far, Kirsten is the only cast member confirmed but we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for some more familiar faces gracing our screen once more.
