Harry Redknapp Breaks Silence On Louise And Jamie's Marriage

Harry Rednapp is one of the favourites in the I'm a Celebrity jungle and is odd on to be crowned this year's winner.

His former daughter-in-law, Louise Redknapp, appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 with dance partner Kevin Clifton - after which her marriage to footballer Jamie Redknapp ended.

But Jamie's father Harry hasn't had a bad word to say about Louise.

In his autobiography, he called her a "lovely" person and said he and his wife Sandra were thrilled when the pair married.

"Jamie couldn't have met a nicer girl. She's a very caring person," he wrote.

"There's no side to her, nothing big time about her at all. She's just a lovely girl."

And now in the jungle, Harry has entertained his fellow contestants and viewers with his stories.

Speaking to Fleur East and Sair Khan, he said he rings his wife numerous times a day.

"We just get on so well, I only want to be with her. I can never wait to see her," he said.

The pair met as teenagers during a dance at pub in East London, when Harry was with a friend.

"I look back on it now and think Sandra must have seen us both coming over and thought, 'I hope I ain't got him,'" said Harry.

"And she went for me. 54 years later we're still going strong. And Macca ended up as an undertaker so really Sandra had the better deal in the long term."

He began trending on Twitter when he turned away from Fleur East, Rita Simons and Sair Khan while they bathed in the shower in just bikinis, declaring that he only woman he wanted to see in a bikini was his wife.

He told the Bush Telegraph: "It don't interest me, that's for sure. There's only one person I want to see in a bikini having a shower and that's my wife."

One social media used commented: "They don't make them like him anymore."

Together, the couple share two children: Mark Redknapp, who carved a career for himself as a model, and Jamie Redknapp, who is best known for being a retired professional football player.

Harry and Sandra raised their sons in Bournemouth as that's where Harry was coaching at the time, and where Jamie made his professional debut.
