Great British Bake Off semi-finalist Ruby Bhogal has reportedly been duped into revealing the winner of the competition by someone posing to be Sandi Toksvig.

After Prue Leith's scandal last year, you would think Bake Off starts would be extra careful on social media not to reveal the winner, however it seems Ruby has been tricked into sharing the big secret.

According to reports, a 26-year-old man from Swansea set up a fake Twitter account for host Sandi and tricked Ruby into talking to him.

The pair shared messages about Danish week before he tricked Ruby into revealing that she was 'very happy' about the winner.

Reports have refused to name the winner so that it is still a surprise for viewers.

The impostor claims he simply did it because he was bored. He said: "It's actually pretty easy to do really.

"You just make a fake profile of one of their friends and then they follow you.

"You then change your name and message them and they have no clue."

Some Bake Off viewers think they have already figured out the winner of the baking competition.

Briony Williams recently shared a snap of her new tattoos which has led some fans to predict that she makes it to the final and could possibly have won.

She told her followers: "My cheeky little Bake Off tattoo I got a week ago now.

"I got it because GBBO was just the most incredible, wonderful, glorious experience and I wanted something fun to represent that.
