Good Morning Britain viewers were left in hysterics this morning when a newsreader fell backwards out of shot.

Even entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold couldn't hold back his giggles when news broadcaster Balvinder Sidhu, whose clips air in the Midlands, lost her footing and went flying off the screen.

The fall was actually recorded before the programme went live on air, but the crew were so amused by it all that they decided to show it anyway - because nothing says Britain like laughing at someone falling over, ay?

However, as she moved around the map, her clothing got caught on a sparkly Welsh dragon which was on the platform.

As Alison attempted a leap from England to Northern Ireland, the man put his hand out to help her but she accidentally shoved him in the water.

What an incredible week for daytime television.
