Good Morning Britain provoked a huge debate on Wednesday morning over whether woman should shave their armpit hair.

Former Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace appeared on the sofa alongside Kate Smurthwaite to discuss 'Januhairy', a movement which sees people shunning hair removal for the month.

Kate, who is taking part in the movement, proudly showed off her armpit hair while insisting it comes with its benefits.

"One thing my armpit hair does it filters out the men who think that's important," she said. "That's an absolute fuss."

However, Aisleyne couldn't get on board with Kate's argument, insisting she felt 'repulsed' by it.

When asked what she thought about the movement, Aisleyne said: "I'm repulsed. I'm sorry, it's your personal choice, but I can see them sticking out. I find it repulsive."

Explaining further why she disliked the movement, Aisleyne continued: "It's hygiene. It's bacteria, it's smell."

After Kate proudly flashed her unshaven armpits at Aisleyne, the reality star insisted women should be focusing their energy on 'bigger' issues than body hair.

"I just think why make a big fuss and a song and dance about growing your armpit hair, there are bigger things to do," she said.

"Do you think by walking around with hairy legs we are going to get equal pay in the office?"

The debate comes after Piers Morgan claimed men don't find women with body hair attractive.

It's a good job we don't live to please men then, ay Piers.
