'Game Of Thrones' Fans Think They've Worked Out The Truth Behind Arya's White Horse

*This article contains Game of Thrones episode five spoilers*

The most recent episode of Game Of Thrones had an overriding theme of destruction, as Daenerys Targaryen blitzed the entirety of King's Landing with the help of Drogon, her last remaining dragon.

There was chaos, death, rape, pillage, fire and smoke, and one person who was right in the thick of it all was Arya.

But despite a dramatic start to the episode, there was an oddly serene ending that saw a bloodied white horse emerging from the deserted streets and riding Arya to safety.

It was an oddly poignant moment following the exhausting battle-heavy episode, and naturally, fans are trying to work out the symbolism of the white horse.

And it seems there may have been some foreshadowing earlier in the episode, as a little girl that Arya was trying to save was carrying a toy white horse.

One Twitter user pointed out that the moment might be more than just a little surreal; it could be biblical. In Revelation 6:8, which tells the story of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, a passage reads:

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

If you're buying the Bible reference then it could mean that Arya is 'Death', which makes sense considering she's had strong links to death through the series (just look at her Kill List), and she could be going to 'kill with sword' none other than Queen Dany.

Food for thought, eh?

Another huge theory about the white horse is that it was sent by Bran to save Arya or that it's actually Bran himself. Remember Bran can warg into animals.

While those are the two main theories about the white horse, of course GoT fans have come out with a ton of much nicher ones, and TBH we're here to hear them...

I guess we'll have to tune in to the final episode of Game of Thrones on Sunday night to find out if it means anything...
