Fans Are Thrilled With This 'Game Of Thrones' Reveal That Confirms Fan Favourite Is Alive

The full trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones seemingly contained zero spoilers, which you'll probably thank HBO for in April - because the excitement's already at a fever pitch. But the trailer did reveal one juicy morsel of information that fans have been waiting on for quite a while.

Fans finally know that Tormund Giantsbane, Beric Dondarrion, and Eddison Tollett didn't die after all. The three characters were on the wall when the Night King's Ice Dragon took it down in the final climactic scenes of the series seven finale, so fans were left wondering what happened to the trio.

And, not to sound dramatic, but this was pretty difficult to deal with for more than a year between series seven and eight, since Tormund in particular has become one of the most-loved characters on the show over the past few seasons.

In one frame in the trailer (around 30 seconds in), we see all three men walking through a stone corridor, lit by the fire of Beric's sword, confirming that they definitely survived the fall (cue a collective sigh of relief following the baited breath of fans).

But with Game of Thrones being the bloodbath it is - nothing in the final series is guaranteed. And while the Tormund might be alive 30 seconds into the trailer for the series, he might die 30 seconds into the first episode - we just don't know yet (no there's nothing to tease that, but you know how the writers love to toy with your emotions, especially in the final season).

For now, we can breathe easy, knowing that Tormund and the others will be on our screens at least once before Game of Thrones ends. April can't come soon enough.

Who do you think will survive the final season? Let us know in the comments.
