Don't Tell The Bride Star Breaks Down In Tears When She Sees Her Dress

For some reason Don't Tell The Bride always ends in tears, and the most recent episode was no different, as bride Lucy wept when she saw her dress for the first time.

We all know that in previous Don't Tell The Bride episodes, the groom very rarely gets the dress right, and during the big reveal there is usually an 'I'm not marrying him' drama.

Nottingham-based groom Reece wanted the wedding to be based on where the couple met, which was in the army.

While he didn't choose a camouflage wedding dress, he did base his decision on whether the gown would fit in the tank he had paid for to get Lucy to the ceremony.

It's not the most traditional of transport but bride Lucy would definitely make an entrance.

When asked what her worst nightmare for her dress would be, Lucy said: "If he got me a strapless dress with ruffles, I'd be so upset because every strapless dress I've tried on I really don't like and I don't like my body in.

"So it means for the whole day I'd be really body conscious."

Reece went with a £820 strapless dress with ruffles, which he made sure it would fit into the tank by using a hula hoop.

And when Lucy finally got to see what she would be wearing for the big day, she was extremely upset.

She compared it to a toilet roll holder and said she would need a lorry to take her to the wedding, not knowing she actually had a tank.

Breaking down in tears, Lucy said: "It's too blingy, and the sweetheart neck. And it's ruffly.

"I feel like I'm wading through mud. It's just massive."

She eventually came round to the idea and agreed to wear the dress.

As you can imagine it didn't get much better for Reece when Lucy discovered she would be arriving at her wedding venue in a tank.

Lucy said: "Why would he get me a massive big princess dress and then put me in a tank? I don't understand, I don't get it. I'm fuming. It's disgusting.

"I'm not sticking my head out, I don't want to ruin my hair."

Once she had got over the fumes, Lucy and her bridesmaids actually seemed to be enjoying themselves in the old assault vehicle.

Of course, all was forgotten when Lucy was reunited with Reece and the ceremony went without a hitch.
