Every Dumbo fan remembers those opening scenes, all the animals in Florida received their bundles of joy. Out popped some tiger cubs, a wobbly giraffe the cutest bear cubs ever. We were taught a lot about conception back then, clearly.

The joy soon came to an abrupt end when we realised Mrs Jumbo, as we would come to know her, didn't receive her package. But eventually after a little delay and some cloud sinking, Mr Stork arrives with the most beautiful baby elephant we ever did see.

Now the scene has been set and it's all coming back. So it's time to let you know that Disney are revamping the fan favourite and it's the stuff of dreams.

It's hard to believe that the original Dumbo was released in 1941 - it's about time it got a remake to be fair.

Luckily, director of the weird and wonderful, Tim Burton, is spearheading Disney's live-action revamp of everyone's favourite cartoon elephant.

Tim is known for his eclectic movies, including Edward Scissorhands and Corpse Bride.

He's worked on a number of Disney movies already, including directing the remake of Alice In Wonderland, and of course, producing The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Tim is directing the new flick, along with a star-studded cast including Colin Farrell, Eva Green and Danny DeVito.

Although the film won't be out until March 2019, we've been blessed with a teaser trailer that's full to the brim with traditional Disney magic.

Seriously, it's heartwarming.

Dumbo is an undeniable classic, and it's not the first time Disney have decided to give one of their stories a bit of a makeover.

In 2016, fans were wowed by the blockbuster live-action version of The Jungle Book, and 2017 saw the release of everyone's favourite tale-as-old-as-time, Beauty and the Beast.

Disney are well and truly making the most of some of their most beloved films, with lots more remakes and reimaginingson the cards.

From Incredibles 2 coming out this summer, to the live-action remakes of The Lion King due in 2019, and Mulan, with no release date yet confirmed, Disney truly are making all of our childhood dreams come true (hopefully!)
