I'm A Celebrity host Declan Donnelly has teased that Holly Willoughby could return to the show next year.

Speculation has been rife that Holly will make a comeback to the next series, alongside both Dec and Ant McPartlin as presenter.

In true Dec style during the Coming Out Show, the Geordie presenter jokingly gifted Holly with her very own camp t-shirt to tease her return.

But before Holly had chance to say anything, Dec hinted that she won't be returning as a host but instead as a campmate.

He said: "I got you a little pressie to say thanks, there you go that's for next year," before quipping: "I know who I'll be voting for in the trials."

Holly simply said: "Thanks a lot," before signing off for the final time.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to speculate whether the t-shirt meant Holly would be returning as a celebrity in the jungle.

One viewer wrote: "Omg is that a hint that Holly is going to be one of the celebs next year?!?! #ImACeleb."

A second fan said: "I'm begging that's a foreshadow and not a tease! Please be a camp mate Holly!! #ImACeleb."

"Can we actually have Holly in the jungle for next year though #ImACeleb," a third added.

Holly described her time in the jungle as a "one-off piece of heaven", before adding: "I've had the best time. It's like nothing I've ever done before."

She continued: "Everything about it is completely bonkers. The jungle is beautiful, the studio is beautiful... but everything wants to eat you."

Viewing ratings have been up this year with n average of 12.6 million viewers tuning, up 1.8 million from last year's series.

A TV source told The Star: "Many presenters would have crumbled under the pressure of joining such a big show, but Holly stepped up to the plate. The top people at ITV are now really keen to get her back next year."
