Dan From Great British Bake Off Became A National Style Icon Last Night

Great British Bake Off viewers couldn't get enough of Dan's outfit choice last night, with some viewers saying his t-shirt was iconic.

Despite being sent home from the tent last night, Dan Beasley-Harling managed to become a style icon after he wore a 'trés butch' t-shirt.

Viewers labelled the t-shirt, which has a giant winking ice cream on it, 'the best thing they've ever seen', and we agree.

The t-shirt can be bought from online store Swish Embassy for roughly £23.50 ($29.95), and it will make you look 'trés chic'.

Viewers praised the baker's choice of clothing on Twitter.

One wrote: "omfg Dan is wearing a très butch t-shirt. I am SREAMING #gbbo [sic]."

Another added: "I think Dan should get Star Baker just for his Tres Butch t shirt". A third user simply called the t-shirt 'iconic'.

Despite becoming a style icon overnight, Dan's outfit wasn't enough to keep him in the competition, and he was sadly sent home from the tent.

Dan failed to impress on pastry week after crating a pie in the shape of a fish - which, despite looking good, failed to blow the judges away thanks to its filling.

Paul Hollywood also revealed that there will be some big changes to Bake Off. The judge revealed that his handshakes are set to stop before the end of the current series.

The Hollywood handshake used to be a rare occurrence on the baking show, with only the best of the best being on the receiving end.

Paul explained that he gives out the handshake when a bake looks and tastes professional, but because the standard of baking is getting better, he has decided to raise the bar.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Paul addressed Bake Off fans' concern over the decreasing value of a Hollywood handshake.

He said: "Every year the standard has got better and better and better and this year has been phenomenal. Some of the flavours they are bringing out. Rahul's stuff has been incredible.

"You will see it happen [in a few weeks] the handshakes almost stop. Because what I've done is I've realised they are all moving up in standard so I've got to move my barrier up so that's exactly what I do, I raise the bar and then no one gets over the top of it."
