The streaming giant shared the news to fans of the Sabrina reboot on Tuesday on Twitter.

This means on top of season two and the Christmas special, fans of the bewitching series will get another 16 episodes to binge-watch.

"Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina has been renewed for 16 more episodes!" confirmed Netflix. "Production begins next year and the next batch will air in two parts: Parts 3 & 4."

Fans of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina went wild for the update, with one writing: "Yas witch!!!!"

"Bravo!! I LOVE #ChillingAdventuresOfSabrina My new fav!! The casts are perfection!!! Well executed @netflix [sic]," exclaimed another, with a final adding: "Oh, what wonderful news indeed!"

The subscription streaming platform didn't announce when viewers can expect these newly announced series to drop, although the second season is landing on 5th April 2019.

There is already a trailer for season two, which was shared by Netflix just a couple of weeks ago.

Netflix treated fans to a one-off Christmas special, which landed on the platform earlier this month.

The synopsis reads: "The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice - the longest night of the year - when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories.

"But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors - both welcome and unwelcome - you never know what might come down the chimney..."

The episode bridged the gap between series one and series two, while bringing a host of Christmas festivities with a chilling twist.

A trailer for the Christmas special saw the coven gather round the yule fire for winter solstice to sing carols and tell ghost stories on the longest night of the year.
