Rebekah Vardy Has 'Blessing' From School To Take Kids To World Cup

Well the first match of the World Cup is officially underway, with a grand ceremony held that included Robbie Williams (not sure how he linked to Russia but hey ho), and while the English boys aren't due to represent the UK until Monday, the families are already making their journey's over to support them as we speak.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here's Rebekah Vardy appeared as a Loose Women panelist on Thursday's episode, and she announced that she would be taking her young lads to go watch their dad, Jamie Vardy, compete in the tournament, despite the fact it's still term-time for schools.

Speaking to the women, she claimed: "I'm going initially for 12 straight days. We're taking the kids out of school which I've got the schools blessing to do so."

However many viewers were furious after hearing that her children had gotten 'special treatment' considering the current rules about taking children out of school during the term-time on holidays.

One user wrote: "Oh so some parents are taken go court over taking their kids out of school, but it's ok for Mardy Vardy."

Another commented: "So your kids are bunking off school then. You can afford the fines I suppose."

Rebekah revealed that she had paid for 'extra security' for her children while they're over there, and stated that her reasons for bringing the kids along is because her three-year-old daughter, Sophia, has a difficult time without Jamie while he's away.

"Jamie went at the end of may but the manager was really good and allowed them to come back and spend a couple of days with families," she said.

"It's a really important time for the team to bond. I'm used to it now. Sofia my youngest daughter struggles with it now. She gets upset and finds it hard with his absence."
