Supervet viewers were moved to tears during the latest episode after cancer survivor was told that her beloved dog also had the cruel disease.
Noel Fitzpatrick's team attempted to save Kwanda, a Rhodesian Ridgeback pooch, who had a huge tumour obstructing the vision in her right eye.
While owner Patricia has six dogs that her 'whole life', she confessed that 11-year-old Kwanda was her favourite.
Patricia first thought that Kwanda's swollen eye was an abscess, but she became concerned when it worsened and knew it was time to take her to the vet.

However, her worst fears were confirmed when a CT scan showed a massive tumour behind the dog's eye. The vets explained that it was serious and could threaten Kwanda's life.
Patricia recalled 'crying like a two-year-old' when she was diagnosed with cancer herself, admitting that the diagnosis 'took the wind out of her sails'.
The owner explained that living with cancer herself helped her understand what her dog was going through, and she asked for the vets to operate on her beloved pet as soon as possible.

"I know if they catch it early enough, as they did with mine, than you're on to a winner," explained Patricia.
She continued: "[Kwanda]'s not happy the way things are at the moment.
"For me, cancer is a killer so it needs to be removed and sorted."
The veterinary team worked hard to remove the tumour, but discovered that it was much bigger than they first through and went all the way down to her jaw.

After a few nail-biting minutes, viewers learned that the operation had been a success and it was unlikely the cancer would spread.
"We've both survived cancer, and it's so nice to have her back," Patricia declared as Supervet fans saw the dog bounding around in the garden at her home..
Despite the happy outcome, viewers took to Twitter overcome with emotion by the episode.

"Oh my goodness why do I watch this?" questioned one fan, while somebody else added: "The Supervet is an emotional rollercoaster on a Wednesday evening."
