It's been a week of epic TV gaffes, between Game of Thrones leaving a coffee cup in a banquet scene and now this: the producers behind Blind Date have actually sent a same-sex couple to a country where homosexuality is illegal.
Yes, Sunday night's episode of the Channel 5 dating show featured bisexual contestants for the first time, and there were a few same-sex love matches.
One of these was beautician Jordan Shannon who drew the Blind Date blind to be pleasantly surprised with male model Jesse Drew.
Host Paul O'Grady then revealed that the couple were being whisked away to Saint Lucia in the West Indies for their hot date - beats a weekend in Blackpool, right?

Wrong: when the couple arrived on the beautiful Caribbean island the lads discovered they'd just landed somewhere where same-sex relationships are strictly banned and anyone caught in the act could face up to ten years in jail.
According to the Daily Star, Jordan had no idea about the laws, explaining he only found out once they'd touched down in the country. "I didn't know this until I was told on the way to the hotel. I thought, 'What the f***?'" he said. "I was nervous."
He added: "The hotel security woman told me how most gay men were in the closet there as homosexuality is illegal. It's 10 years in prison if caught."
Despite their fears, the date went ahead as planned and the couple returned to the UK arrest-free. Phew.

Responding to the furore this week, a Channel 5 spokesperson said: "We didn't know and are taking this up with the production company."
So Television, Olga TV Production and Stellify Media the production companies behind the show are yet to make a statement, but we've got a feeling its going to be a tough day in the office for a few location scouts.
You can see how Jordan and Jesse's date went down on Sunday night, with the episode airing at 8pm on Channel 5.
