Big Brother star Andy West threw a huge tantrum on This Morning and threw apples and pears and jumped on the iconic sofa to prove his point on the argument whether children should be banned from pubs.

Andy, who starred in the 2016 series of the reality show, was arguing the fact that he deserves a child-free pint and after a passionate speech he decided to get his point across by mimicking a toddler tantrum.

Journalist Georgina Fuller joined Andy on the debate and claimed he was not being 'reasonable' by insisting children should be banned from public houses.

Starting his argument Andy said: "'Every single time I go to the pub, loads of people watching will have been in this situation.

"Maybe you're there to tell dirty jokes, talk about your sex life, swear or be a grown-up and do the things grown-ups are allowed to do, then you get to these situations and kids are screaming...

"Kids turn up and they're screaming and running. You know what it's like. Imagine you're having a nice romantic meal."

Dashing across the studio, Andy said: "Then they're running around up and down the pub. Oh no that's gone over."

Phillip was pretty upset that someone had jumped on his sofa and told Andy to get off.

Andy then started throwing fruit around the studio and finished his argument with: "And you're trying to have a nice meal as a grown up. Sit down shut up."

Phil did congratulate Andy on proving his point thoroughly.

However, viewers were less than impressed with Andy's point and took to Twitter to criticise his point.

One user said: "Kids should definitely be allowed in pubs - I agree the correct pubs though, it's always funny it's people without kids that want this kind of stuff banned."

Another added: "Grown men cause more aggro than children in pubs? Stop attention seeking and trying to divide folk with more nonsense".

A third said: "He's already annoying me far more than any kid ever has in a pub."

Georgina also hit back at Andy and said that banning children from pubs isn't a reasonable idea. She said: "You've got to be reasonable. What does that say about a society where you're not inclusive. Pubs are part of our life and community, so our families and children."

However some users did agree, one person said: " Agree! Why would you want to take your kids to a pub? A family friendly one with a meal is totally different. But just a pub? Why? They are bored, take them somewhere family friendly."

Another added: "'I'm a parent and I have to say I kind of agree with him when you go to a pub on a night out you don't want to have to watch what u say because of little ears and mums and dads shouting at you for swearing and being loud."
