The latest trailer for the BBC's adaptation of Watership Down has arrived, and it looks like it is going to be an amazing addition to the festive television schedule.
Despite being slightly darker than the television you usually see at Christmas, the minute and a half long trailer gives viewers a glimpse into the colony of rabbits who are having to flee their doomed warren.
At the beginning of the dramatic trailer we are let into one of Fiver's nightmares and we're not going to lie it is slightly creepy.
We then see Fiver try to convince the rest of the rabbits to leave the doomed warren but after leaving they are forced to defend their new home.

The 1978 classic film adaptation of the novel of the same name saw similar storyline, however despite it being a kids film it was full of horrific details and disturbing imagery.
Thankfully BBC's live-action is thought to have been toned down in its gore and horror and will be aired on the 22nd and 23rd December in four parts.
Overall it will stay true to the 1972 novel, as it will follow the tale of Fiver the bunny, who has been haunted by post-apocalyptic visions predicting the warren's destruction.

X-Men's Nicholas Hault will voice Fiver and he will be joined by co-star James McAvoy, The Crown's Olivia Coleman, former Bond girl Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley, and Star Wars' John Boyega.
If that isn't enough big names for you other stars include Gone Girl's's Rosamund Pike, Kingsman's Taron Egerton, Harry Potter's Lee Ingleby, Line of Duty's Charlotte Spencer and Black Mirror's Daniel Rigby.
Speaking about the adaptation Matthew Read, BBC Drama Commissioning Editor, said: "Before there was Harry Potter there was Watership Down; Richard Adams' novel is one of the most successful books of all time and one of the biggest selling books in history.

Oscar-winning Bond theme writer Sam Smith has recorded his own rendition of Fire on Fire for the series theme-song.
"I am so excited and honoured to be a part of this new adaptation of Watership Down," he told Digital Spy. "This story is so powerful and timeless, and it has been thrilling to work with Noam and his team and the incredible Steve Mac on this song for it. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do."
