Anne Hegerty opened up to fellow jungle star Nick Knowles on Thursday night about the heartbreaking way she managed to cope with life in the jungle after crying herself to sleep on the first night in camp.

AAnne is best known as one of the 'Chasers' on ITV game show The Chase and since her arrival has become a surprise favourite for viewers and her campmates over the last few weeks.

Speaking to fellow campmate and TV presenter Nick Knowles Anne opened up about her motives behind signing up for the notoriously challenging reality TV show.

She had previously visited the Bush Telegraph and confessed: "I think Nick has been keeping an eye out for me, he knows how tough I found it to begin with."

Nick and Anne later paired up and went for a swim in the pool where Anne opened up in a heart to heart during which Nick asked Anne about her motives for signing up to the show. Anne replied: "I spent the first three days asking myself that and on the first night I lay awake all night crying just thinking what have I done.

"So I started to list all the people I was going to disappoint. Now I can imagine staying until I get voted off."

Nick reassured her by replying: "It would have been a much lesser experience without you here."

Sair and Fleur were also having a heart to heart elsewhere in camp about their experiences on the show so far.

Fleur confessed: "Doing the trial yesterday really helped me, I feel so quiet in the group, I'm happy to just sit back and then I realise I've gone two days without talking....There's a lot of people in here, these are people I've not met before and I thought I'd be better at this"

She continued: "I'm glad I've got you, you wouldn't judge me...you'd listen to me...There are so many big characters you have to fight to be heard."

I'm A Celebrity is on ITV every night at 9pm.
