Altered Carbon may have only dropped a week ago, however it is already proving to be a huge hit.

As if the Netflix original wasn't appealing enough with its cyberpunk setting, we couldn't get enough when we first heard that it had links to none other than Game of Thrones.

Well, some eagle-eyed viewers have now seen that come into play as they spot hidden GoT references in the form of an Easter egg. One Reddit user pointed out a seven-pointed star in one episode which Game of Thrones fans will recognise as the one that was used as a symbol of the Faith of the Seven.

The seven-pointed star appears in episode three of the Netflix series, when Miss Prescott visits the police station.

The show's producer, LaetaKalogridis, said: "The complexity of the story requires, as noir often does, to make something that's an extremely twisty murder mystery, but it also had to be hard-R tonally. And a hard-R sci-fi movie usually is something like Logan, for example, where you're building out a piece of a franchise."
