Hilarious Moment Alison Hammond Pushes Man Into The Docks On This Morning

As part of This Morning's 30th birthday celebrations, the show brought back its iconic floating weather map.

However, chaos quickly ensued, as Alison Hammond accidentally knocked a man into the water live on air...

Alison Hammond was tasked with the challenge of presenting the weather from a map floating on the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool.

However, as she moved around the map, her clothing got caught on a sparkly Welsh dragon which was on the platform.

As Alison attempted a leap from England to Northern Ireland, the man put his hand out to help her but she accidentally shoved him in the water.

It was even more embarrassing for the topless sailor, as he was wearing all white as he fell into the murky water.

Of course, in true Alison style the presenter began to flap while the poor sailor had to try and drag himself back onto the floating map.

The presenter apologised and called for someone to get him a towel. She said: "Oh my god, get a towel! I'm so embarrassed!"

As 'the show must go on' Alison finished the report, finishing it by introducing the man, whose name was Chris and explaining that he was okay.

Back in the studio, Phillip and Holly covered their mouths in shock but couldn't hide their laughter any longer.

Holly urged Alison to wrap the sailor in a towel 'in case his white trousers went see through really quickly'.

This Morning viewers were sent on an emotional rollercoaster yesterday when the daytime programme relived some of its real tear-jerker moments in celebration of its 30th birthday.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were sent down memory lane when they introduced the montage that highlighted some of the more serious issues that the programme has covered over the years.

Introducing the clips, Holly said: "Now we have a lot of fun on this show, but we've also tackled some tough subjects."

Phil added: "From our Be Kind campaign to Project 84 to our doctor's live medical checks to our real life stories, here's a taste of This Morning's serious side."

The montage included some really emotional moments including interviews with victims of the Manchester terror attack and an interview with ITV's late Keith Chegwin when he revealed he was an alcoholic.
