A mum appeared on Loose Women on Thursday with her 11-year-old drag queen son in celebration of Pride weekend.

Lauren Noakes appeared on the ITV programme with her son Leo, who says he was inspired by RuPaul's Drag Race.

She admitted how at first she was afraid that the reason her son wanted to dress in women's clothes was because he didn't have a male father figure growing up.

"I was worried that it was because he was with me and watching me all the time," Lauren explained.

However, she later discovered that it wasn't because of his upbringing - or the fact that he wanted to change his gender.

Lauren continued: "From my ignorance I assumed that that's what he wanted. It's not at all.

"But, actually, he's really open anyway, he really clearly just says, 'I'm a boy, I like being a boy, just because I've got a penis doesn't mean I can't wear a dress'.

"He just wants to show everyone it's OK to be different. That's what he taught me."

Leo then made his appearance Violet Vixen, where he received a heartfelt message from one of his idols, Shane Jenek, who transforms into Courtney Act.

Shane told him: "You're inspiring a conversation about how silly it is to apply a gender to a piece clothing.

"Why do boys have to wear boys clothes and why do girls have to wear girls clothes? Why can't we just wear the clothes that we feel like wearing? It makes sense to me and it makes sense to you too."

Needless to say, the heartfelt message from Shane prompted Leo to break down live on air. Wouldn't we all if we got a message from our hero?
