Take Me Out fans will be well versed when it comes to the Isle of Fernando's - it's the place where loves comes alive or goes to die.

As you might have guessed it isn't actually called the Isle of Fernando's (grammatical error and all), but have you ever wondered where it actually is? It is in fact the Puerto de la Cruz in northern Tenerife.

While the couples used to stay in a five star hotel, these days they use a fancy pants villa to film in while they have their dates. Remember this cringe moment one of the daters couldn't stop burping through the meal? *Cringe*

In Puerto de la Cruz you'll find Lago Martianez, a collection of saltwater pools, a Sardine Festival, an annual Carnaval around the old fishing port, Loro Parque, an animal adventure park, Siam, a huge waterpark and the Botanical Gardens, which date back to 1788.

You can fly there in just four hours from the UK. *Books flights*
