If you didn't used to have posters of Blue, S Club 7 and 5ive on your bedroom wall back in the day, were you even living?

All three bands were a huge part of our childhoods, along with a number of others, cementing their place in the 90s and 00s music hall of fame.

And that is why the following news fills us with an inordinate amount of joy.

For Comic Relief 2017, Blue's Duncan James, 5ive's Ritchie Neville, S Club 7's Jon Lee, Phats & Small's Ben Ofoedu, and Pop Idol's Gareth Gates will join forces to form super group, Boys Allowed.

All in the name of charity, the boys will dress up as Girls Aloud for Let's Sing and Dance For Comic Relief, and will perform their own rendition of the girls' top ten single, 'Biology'.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said:

This is a dream come true for 90s pop fans.
With five of the most memorable British pop stars from the past two evades together it's going to be a proper nostalgia trip.
The Girls Aloud cover will be great entertainment but hopefully it will not be their only performance.

Imagine how much fun it would be if the lads stuck together for a full tour.

You can join the party and catch this year's Comic Relief festivities on Friday 24th March, BBC1.
