'Harry Potter' Uno Exists And It's The Most Magical Game Since Quidditch

Thought Uno couldn't get any better? Us too. But turns out we were all wrong. The fun, fast-paced card game you know and love now features images of iconic characters from the world of Harry Potter - and it's the most magical game since Quidditch.

Get in the Butterbeers and join Harry, Hermione, Ron, Professor Dumbledore and other characters from the wizarding world for a more magical night of Uno gameplay.

Same rules apply: players have to race to get rid of all their cards by matching a card in their hand with the current card shown on top of the deck.

Score points by being the first to get rid of all the cards in your hand.

Special action cards including Skips, Reverses, Draw Twos, and Wild cards to deliver game-changing moments as they each perform a function to help you defeat your opponents - no wand required.

There's even a special Sorting Hat rule card. Unique to the Harry Potter version: play this card and another player of your choice must keep drawing cards until they find a Gryffindor card. But of course you must solemnly swear that you're up to no good first.

First player or team to 500 wins (points for Griffindor, perhaps?) and when you're down to one card, don't forget to shout "UNO!".

And remember: a recent viral Facebook post revealed a new rule nobody seemed to know about:

LaToya McCaskill Stallings, a teacher from Texas, says she was bored and ran out of things to read so decided to study the Uno manual when she came across the oft-ignored game regulation.

"So it's taken me 35 years on this earth to realize that I've been playing Uno wrong since I was a kid," LaToya wrote in the newly resurfaced Facebook post, which has been shared more than 172,000 times at the time of writing.

"Did y'all know that you can only play the Draw 4 Wild card if you have no other cards of the same color that can be played??! And if you suspect that someone has illegally played this card, they have to show you their hand.

"And if they in fact played the card illegally they must draw 4, but if not, the person who challenged the play must draw 6?"

Personally, we're stunned by this rule. It's a literal game changer.

And, indeed, the official Mattel rule book confirms LaToya's expert Uno sleuthing. "Only the person required to draw the 4 cards can make the challenge," the guide book adds, however.

At just £14.99 on Amazon the Uno Harry Potter Card Game is a great gift for Harry Potter fans. Accio!
