Oscars 2019: Here's Why Emily Blunt Didn't Perform 'Mary Poppins Returns' Soundtrack

Mary Poppins Returns' soundtrack 'The Place Where The Lost Things Go' might be up for Best Original Song at tonight's Oscars, but that doesn't mean Emily Blunt will be making an appearance as she's not at the academy awards at all.

Last week it was revealed Bette Midler would be performing the soundtrack number at the 91st Academy Awards, which begged the question as to why it wouldn't Emily Blunt on stage performing - considering it's her role in the film and everything.

But, it's all down to the fact that Emily isn't even at the awards ceremony at all, after she wasn't nominated for her performance in Mary Poppins or A Quiet Place, while her husband John Krasinsky - who also directed and starred in A Quiet Place - was snubbed too.

Viewers were left baffled when they realised Emily wasn't involved in the performance, with many taking to Twitter to ask where on earth she was...
