Seeing as it is the first few weeks of January, I'm pretty sure everyone is on a bit of a fitness hype at the moment. New year, new us, right?

Power couple Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright are also working out to the max, but in the comfort of their own luxury home gym rather than the local lido.

They make sure everyone knows about it too by regularly inundating their fans' 'gram feeds with loads of gym selfies too.

Professional footballer turned boxer Rio just uploaded another video of the pair of them in the middle of a work out and being put through their paces by a personal trainer.

However the fitness post has been heavily criticised by some of his 2.6 million Instagram followers...

The dad-of-three captioned the post: "5am workout this morning... @meldeane12 getting us through it [sic]!!!!"

But some eagle eyed fans were quick to notice that something didn't quite 'add up' with his choice of words.

Rio's clip looks as if it was filmed in the daylight, and some were rushed to point out that the sun couldn't possibly be up at that time in the morning.

One suspicious fan declared: "3hr work out sunrise was at 8:05am [sic]!!!!"

"Stoooooop man!!! It's not 5am," exclaimed a second follower.

As someone else fired back: "Awful bright outside for it being 5am lol."

"I was out walking at 6-30 this morning and it was dark," advised a fourth user.

While a final snapped: "Again...... it's light outside lol b*llsh*tter of the year."

Plenty of followers pointed out that seeing as it is the middle of January, the sun doesn't rise until around 8am at the moment, making the video around three hours too early.

Maybe the lighting in their gym is just really, really good?
