She wowed the judges by becoming runner-up on last year's X Factor, only just missing out to boyband, Rak Su.

But it appears the 20-year-old star is still coming out a winner, as she's reportedly set to sign a record deal under Simon's label, Syco...

A source told The Sun: "Grace's talent shone through on X Factor - not only as a singer but as an excellent songwriter in her own right.

"Everyone is really excited about what she is going to be doing next. There is a genuine buzz around her and Syco weren't going to let anyone else get the chance to sign her."

However, this should come as no suprise, as it was previously reported that before Grace even entered the singing competition she had visited Simon's record company about securing a deal in the past.

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, which is where Grace hails from, when she was aged just 17, she headed to London to discuss a record deal with the music mogul's company.

She performed in an industry show case in Soho, but unfortunately for Grace nothing came from it. The scout who found her in the first place no longer works for Simon's company, according to an X Factor spokesperson. They did add that the talent show often approaches people to encourage them to audition, though.

The revealed: "Like many TV shows, it's not unusual for us to approach individuals and organisations to make them aware of the auditions but everyone who applies goes through the exact same audition process and is judged on their performance on the day."

Wonder when we'll get to hear some of her new music?!
