Danny Williams and Jourdan Riane have spoken out following their shock eviction from the Love Island villa tonight.
The fledgling couple were among five islanders to leave in the space of 24 hours, after it emerged Amy Hart and another couple had also exited the show in quick succession.
In dramatic scenes aired on Monday night, contestants had been celebrating Anna Vakili's 29th birthday when they were hauled in front of the fire pit and told that the couple with the fewest votes would be leaving immediately.
Despite both admitting they were 'shocked' to have been booted from the villa, Danny and Jourdan both agree they are now looking forward to dating in the outside world.
Jourdan, 24, said she wasn't too upset about leaving Mallorca because she had "found what she was looking for" and couldn't wait to get to know Danny "without cameras and microphones and other people."
The model and actress said: "I was really surprised by the dumping. I don't think people dislike me or Danny, I just think more people voted for other couples over us.
"I think because we were chilled and happy, people thought we were already safe. I'm such a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I just think me and him are not meant to be in there anymore."
Danny, who previously enjoyed fleeting romances with scientist Yewande Biala and model Arabella Chi, added that he was looking forward to meeting Jourdan's family.
He said: "I'm excited to date her and travel, meet families and do all the normal stuff that we haven't done yet.
"I feel like I know so much about [Jourdan] and her character. I know her personality on a deep level but she doesn't know my parents' names or the simple things. I'm excited to do the normal things."
Asked whether he regretted anything about his time in the villa, Danny replied: "I have absolutely no regrets.
"I made mistakes for sure, but I'm grateful for all the ups and downs because it led me to where I am today and I am a happy man.
"Anything I wanted to say, I feel like I said it in the moment. I apologised for things that I did wrong."

And reflecting on his shock eviction, Danny added: "I was expecting a dumping, but I felt like me and Jourdan may have been safe because out of the three couples we were the only romantically involved people. I was gutted though, but I'm really grateful for my journey."
When it comes to the winning couple, Danny is backing Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, while Jourdan's got her money on Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan.
