It's official: there's a new Steps album in the works and we can't remember the last time we were quite so happy.
Claire Richards confirmed the exciting news on Lorraine on Friday, adding that a tour will follow the release of new music.
"We have started working on it already" Richards revealed, adding that "Hopefully there will be a tour after that as well. It's ongoing"
She also let slip that the group would love to collaborate with the likes of Ed Sheeran or Calvin Harris on the upcoming release. Can. You. Imagine.

To ring in their twentieth anniversary the iconic 90s chart toppers made a brief comeback in 2017 with album Crying at the Disco. Needless to say, it was a total banger.
But of course nothing compares to 1998's Step One, which featured the likes of "5, 6, 7, 8", "One for Sorrow" and the Grammy-worthy Bee Gees cover "Tragedy".
Richards is only one fifth of Steps, Ian 'H' Watkins, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Lee Latchford-Evans make up the rest of the beloved pop group.

It's been a busy year for Richards, who released her first solo album My Wildest Dreams back in February. The record is well worth checking out - fans of Steps will not be disappointed.
The album even went down a treat with Celine Dion (no biggie), who Richards is supporting at Hyde Park in July.
