Love Island's Jessica Shears and Dom Lever have tied the knot in a low-key, intimate ceremony on the Greek Island of Mykonos, although none of their former co-stars were invited.

Instead, the pair became the second couple from the show to marry in front of just 22 of their closest friends and family earlier this month.

Speaking of their decision to keep the nuptials quiet, Dom told OK! Magazine: "We really wanted an intimate wedding and we knew we couldn't have had that in the UK."

He continued: "As we were limited on numbers, we only invited people we see all the time. Choosing who to invite made us realise who was really important to us."

Dom and Jess met on the third series of Love Island, alongside the likes of Amber Davies, Camilla Thurlow,Mike Thalassitis and Kem Cetinay.

They, along with Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, are the only couple left from season three of the reality show.

Discussing the absence of their former Love Island co-stars, Jess explained: "We only had room for our closest friends and family."

Despite the intimate ceremony, the couple announced plans for a party in the UK, which they will invite some of their co-stars to.

"We're planning a party in the UK when we're home so we'll invite Olivia Attwood, Sam Gowland and Chloe Crowhurst to that," shared Jessica.

The lovebirds got engaged just three months after meeting on the show, and have since hit out at all their relationship doubters.

"People said we wouldn't last but now we're husband and wife," Dom said. "We're proof that when you meet the right person, there's no need to hang around."

Jess added: "I always thought it was a cliche when people said, 'When you meet the one, you know', but it's true. I knew we'd be together forever from very early on.

"I'm so excited to be Mrs Lever and to spend the rest of my life waking up next to Dom."

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen became the first couple from the show to marry earlier this month, having met on season two.
