Love Island's Charlie Brake Claims He Didn't Cheat On Ellie Brown But Did Lie To Her

Love Island's Charlie Brake has spoken out for the first time since it was reported he was spotted with another woman, shortly before his split with Ellie Brown.

The 23-year-old announced his break up with the Geordie Islander in a blunt message on Instagram at the end of September, but Ellie was said to be none the wiser he would be making the announcement.

Shortly afterwards, it was reported Charlie had been spotted at a restaurant with another woman while still in a relationship with Ellie.

But, speaking for the first time since the rumours began, Charlie has denied claims he cheated on Ellie, although admitted he did lie to her.

"I think, obviously the break up is the big thing at the moment," he told OK! Online. "I haven't really spoke about it. I think a few stories have been spun, only because I think one side of the story has been told."

He continued: "I've been seen to cheat on Ellie, that never happened. Fact. I was in a restaurant with a girl that I knew, but there wasn't just the two of us there was a group of us. So that's then been spun, and I've been made to be the villain.

"I treated Ell well, the time we had together we had a lot of fun, and I wish her all the best and I hope she's doing well."

Now, Charlie claims he was forced to lie to Ellie about where he was going so she wouldn't 'kick off big time' about him going for drinks with former Islander, Frankie Foster.

"In the end, it got to the point where I was having to lie to her, which sounds really bad... when it came out that I 'cheated' - I said I was in Kent, fair enough I probably should not have done that. But I was in London with a few friends.

"Had I told Ellie that... that's how I felt, she might have felt differently. If I told her that, she would have kicked off at me. That's when I was a bit like, right. This isn't really going to work out, as I'm having to lie to her now.

"At the end of the day I don't want to hurt Ellie, I just want her to get on with whatever she's doing and be successful at whatever she does."

Since their split, Charlie has been pictured enjoying a number of dates with former TOWIE star, Ferne McCann.
