Strictly Come Dancing runner-up Joe Sugg appears to have confirmed his romance with Dianne Buswell after weeks of fan speculation.

Joe and his Strictly dance partner were linked romantically throughout their time on the show, although neither would confirm whether they were dating or not.

But on Sunday night - a day after the finale which saw Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton take home the trophy - Joe took to Instagram to declare he'd won something much more special than the Glitter Ball.

Posting a picture of the two of them gazing into each other's eyes with their arms around one another, Joe gushed: "I may not have won the glitter ball, but I've won something a million times more special."

The Youtuber's 5.7 million followers went wild over the loved-up image, taking it as confirmation of their relationship.

"I KNEW IT!! So happy for you," exclaimed one elated fan, with another sharing: "This is so cute I am crying."

"Congrats to Dianne and Joe," posted a third, while a fourth commented: "Called this on day one you could see the chemistry."

It wasn't just fans commenting either, as Strictly host Tess Daly wrote: "Oh my! So happy for you two."

Joe's sister and fellow Youtuber Zoella commented on the post leaving love heart emojis.

Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones commented: "Yes you did!"

Rumours started circulating that Joe and Dianne were more than just friends when she split from Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan earlier in the series.

Joe and Dianne were spotted at Winter Wonderland in London over the weekend together, too.

A total of 12.7 million viewers tuned in to BBC One on Saturday night to watch the Strictly Come Dancing finale and see Kevin and Stacey be crowned champions. The figure was down from last year's peak of 13.1 million.
