Holly Willoughby In Tears On 'This Morning' When Surprised With Basket Of Puppies

Holly Willoughby was left in tears on This Morning when Philip Schofield gifted her with cuddles from puppies for her birthday.

The TV host turns 38 on Sunday but began the celebrations early after receiving a very special gift from her co-host and pal.

Holly was reduced to tears twice while meeting a rescue puppy during a programme last week, the presenter was overcome with emotion when Phil appeared with a basket full of puppies for her to cuddle.

Teary Holly was already emotional after the team played Happy This Morning Birthday for her at the beginning of the show, before Phil emerged with the adorable puppies.

"My present to you," Phil beamed as he brought in the basket full of eight week old Pomeranian puppies to the tune of Puppy Love.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," Holly cried. "They're so cute, can I pick one up? Oh my god, that's just the cutest thing I've ever seen."

As she picked up one of the fur babies, she told them: "You are just so sweet. She's so sweet."

Phil then joked Holly was allowed to take the entire basket of pooches home, insisting he'd checked with her husband Dan Baldwin, who was absolutely fine with it.

"That's your present," he laughed. "No, they are all yours, Dan is fine with it!"

But Holly insisted: "He will not be fine with it, I can't believe you made me cry over a puppy, this is the best thing ever... but then I have to give it back!

"Maybe I should call him Bertie, because I'm crying if I'm only having Bertie for the day I'm holding him," Holly added before asking guest Sajid Javid if he minded her holding the puppy.

What an incredible way to start a 38th birthday.
