Emily Atack has hit back at vile online trolls who called her fat during her appearance at the BRITs on Wednesday night.

The I'm A Celebrity star has never been one for mincing her words and she's not about to start taking criticism from trolls lying down, as she tells them to "go f*ck themselves."

Taking to Twitter, she told her followers: "To all the lovely comments lots of you say to me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To those who continue to call me fat... have a wonderful evening, and then go and f*ck yourself. All the best. X"

It's fair to say Emily looked incredible, in a floor-length one-shouldered gown, which she paired with a dazzling clutch bag and red lipstick.

Needless to say, the Inbetweeners actress was flooded with messages from fans who told her hailed her an 'inspiration' and a 'role model.'

One fan questioned: "Have I really just read that people are body shaming Emily Atack? I'd kill for that figure. She looks amazing... if you think Emily Atack is 'fat' ?!?!?! you blind as hell sorry what now [sic]."

A second wrote: "I will actually eat ANYONE who calls you fat Em - and not in a good way. You look incredible."

"You're a truly beautiful girl. In a parallel universe where I had an attraction to girls, you'd be right up there. Not only are you attractive, in great shape, you're also very witty, great fun and exude positive vibes! Keep doing you because you do it so well," a third gushed.

Emily has previously opened up about her struggles with self confidence, admitting her time in the celebrity jungle finally gave her the self acceptance she'd been searching for.

Before finding out she had narrowly lost out to Harry Redknapp, Emily told Holly and Dec: "I'm going to start crying already. This place makes me cry all the time. It's changed my life in so many ways.

"I came into the year, a difficult start to the year. I didn't know what I was doing or where I wanted to go.

"This place has given me such self-acceptance. I worry about things constantly at home. I realise I don't have to do that."

You'll always be a queen to us, Emily.
