Manchester's Heaton Park Is Being Transformed Into A Huge Beach And We Need To Go
There is no denying that being a northerner is pretty great, but the chips and gravy don't quite make up for the lack of sushine and constant rain. Almost, but not quite.
Thankfully, us northern bunnies are going to have our very own taste of a tropical paradise, as Heaton Park in Manchester is soon going to turn into a huge beach.
That's right, the park will soon be visited by Come To The Beach during the school summer holidays, and Platt Fields park will also get a taste of the seaside. We honestly can't wait.
If you are wondering what the event will entail, then listen up as there is a lot going on. There will be a giant beach area complete with comfy deck chairs, as well as buckets and spades.
Come To The Beach is family friendly and will also have loads of entertainment for kids, including face painting and character appearances on a weekend.
There will even be traditional family rides and attractions, including water walkerz - the air bubbles that allow you to run on along water - flying Dumbos, water boats and inflatables for all the summer fun.
Come To The Beach will be kicking off later this month on Saturday, 21st July and will run up until Sunday, 2nd September, and will be open from midday until 5pm.
Tickets are super cheap too, as unlimited rides are only £9.99 per person. Not bad at all.
Of course, no event is complete with loads of yummy food to feast on, and there is a beach bar and food court as well as a sweetie and rock stall.
